29 Weeks and Baby Class

This past Saturday Tyler and I attended an all day "New Life Series" baby class, yep all day....9am to 5:30pm, Tyler was thrilled to say the least, haha. We learned all about pregnancy and childbirth, which was good for Tyler, (and for me, it was a good refresher from my nursing school days) but I honestly believe he thought I was making alot of stuff up just to get sympathy from him. Well aside from getting up every 15 minutes to get a snack from the snack table, (if you know Tyler you will totally understand) I believe he really learned a thing or two about pregnancy and childbirth. He has been so considerate ever since, it just took someone else to get through to him :) We also got to learn a little about baby care, Ty excelled in this category, he is a pro a swaddling and diapering, and knows every detail about umbilical cord and circumcision care, it was so cute and made me so proud :) Grayson is going to have the best daddy, what a lucky little boy.

We also got a chance to tour the Women and Infant's Center where Grayson will be born. I had seen many pictures and knew it was nice, but wow, UAB did a really good job. All of the facilities are beautiful and I know our experience will be wonderful, God willing. Not too much longer because I am already......

29 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 29 weeks!
Size of Baby: Baby Grayson is the size of a 'chinese cabbage' about 2.25 lbs.
Total Weight Gain: 18 lbs....so I went to the doctor, I gained 8 lbs in the last 5 weeks (woah, hard to swallow) I keep telling myself that is what is supposed to happen, that just means I have a healthy growing baby boy!
Maternity Clothes: Yes of course, and I am loving sundresses in this heat box of a state I live in.
Gender: It's a boy! Grayson Coleman Little
Movement: He is moving all of the time, especially when his mommy is tired and ready for bed.
Sleep: I am sleeping pretty good, with my 'snoogle' of course and as little cover as possible :)
What I miss: I don't really miss anything, I really enjoy being pregnant.
Cravings: Anything cold, it is so HOT here that cold food and water are  so refreshing!
Symptoms: Other than my growing belly, I'm having some serious back pain*** oh the joys of pregnancy.
Best moment this week: Feeling Grayson move around and seeing Tyler excel in baby class, both wonderful.

***So I explained the severe pain I have been having, for close to 2 months now, to my doctor at our last visit. She wasn't completely positive as to what could be causing such dramatic pain other than the possibility of gallstones. Evidently you are more susceptible to them during pregnancy due to the increase in estrogen, anywho, I go for a ultrasound to try and figure it out next week, I am so hoping that it is nothing serious, but at the same time I really want to know what it is so that hopefully this pain will stop.
